'Chaat' is everyone's favourite. Potato being the most loved and versatile vegetable, I innovated this recipe to make a nice tangy , tasty and chatpata accompaniment using potatoes. Who would not like it if it is a mixture of all their favourite flavours and at the same time extremely easy to make ? Try this and your children will be left licking their fingers and asking for more.
INGREDIENTS :
Baby potatoes 15/ 20 nos
1 tbsp butter
Oil 1Tbsp
For masala paste :
Mint leaves 1 small bunch
Coriander small bunch
4 to 5 green chillies.
Curds/plain yogurt 3/4 cup
Dhane jeera powder 1 tsp (Powder of coriander and cumin seeds)
Red chilli powder 1 tsp.
Chat masala 1 tsp (Optional)
Mutton masala 1/2 tsp
A pinch of sugar.
Salt to taste
METHOD :
1. Boil the baby potatoes.
2. Prick them with a fork
3. Saute in the butter till golden brown
4. Drain on absorbent paper and Keep aside.
5. Grind all the ingredients for masala paste to a fine paste (Should be pouring consistency but not watery)
6. In the same pan, Heat the oil.
7. Add the masala paste n saute fr few mins till Oil Separates.
8. Add the fried potatoes and mix well for few mins .Chatpatee potato bhajee is ready .
9. Serve hot with Roti/Rice/Naan etc
10. Enjoy.
