Crispy fried prawns



A very easy yet delectable recipe using prawns (shrimps). This one is loved by everyone at home . Medium sized prawns marinated in spices readily available in your kitchen. Deep fried to a golden brown. Addition of semolina gives it that extra crispiness and crunch while retaining the softness inside. Watch them being polished off the plates in no time !!!


INGREDIENTS : 

FOR MARINATION :

Medium sized shrimp or prawns 20  pcs.
Juice of 1 lemon 
Red chilli powder 1 to 2 tsp 
Ginger garlic paste  2 tsp
Salt to taste (Remember the prawns will be little salty so adjust accordingly)

FOR COVERING:
Rice flour ½ bowl
Rawa or Semolina 1/2bowl
Little salt 
½ tsp chilli powder 
Oil for frying .

METHOD :

1. Deshell, devein and clean the prawns. Keep aside.
2. Add all the ingredients for margination and mix well.
3. Keep covered in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins.
4. For the covering , In a plate mix rice flour, rawa, chilli powder and salt
5. Mix well.
6. Heat Oil for frying in a kadai or a wok.
7. Take each of the prawns, roll them in rice flour mixture till completely covered.
8. Deep fry on Medium heat till golden brown and crisp.
9. Drain on absorbent paper.
10. Serve hot!!! Enjoy.
11. These really do not need any accompaniment. Are fantastic as it is.
