onion finely chopped.
Oil 2Tbsp.
½ tsp
turmeric
1Teaspoon
Mutton Masala (I used store bought)
Ginger
garlic paste 2 teaspoons .
Salt to
taste .
Juice of
half a lemon
Coriander
for garnishing (Finely chopped).
METHOD :
In a thick bottom wok, heat the oil. Once the oil is hot add the onions. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well. Stir till onions are half cooked. Now add turmeric and the chicken/ mutton mince . Mix well. Add just little water . Mix well . Keep covered. Keep stirring in between till the mince is cooked . Now add Mutton masala (You can add more to make it spicier) . Add salt to taste . Add lemon juice and coriander and mix well. Ensure that this mixture is really dry.
FOR POTATO COVERING :
INGREDIENTS:
Potatoes 4
to 6 boiled and mashed .
Pinch of
Hing (Asafoetida)
Pinch of
Haldi /Turmeric
Salt to
taste.
Little Bit of Rice flour to make the patties.
METHOD TO MAKE THE PATTIES:
Mix the potato, hing , turmeric and salt together to form a nice soft dough like texture. (You can add some cornflour for binding if you feel so)
Make a small
disk or small bowl/wati like shape with the potato mixture.
Take a
spoonful of the Kheema stuffing and put it gently in the covering . Roll the patties
with your hands to fully cover the stuffing .
You can
either apply some oil to your hands or dust a little rice flour so the potato
mixture does not stick to your hands .
Shallow fry
these patties is a pan till Golden brown on both sides.
Seve hot
with tomato Ketchup or Green coriander chutney. Enjoy !!!!
