Vegetable Chutney Sandwiches


Easily assembled and a great power packed snack to  be had 'on the go'. Most popular as a snack for kid's tiffin or picnics for its ease in preparation and ease in carrying . Versatile dish as you can add/ edit /omit veggies as per your liking . One can add cheese (Grated or slices) to make it more nutritive . You can even toast or grill these as per your liking. The ingredients are all simple and mostly available in the kitchen pantry.

INGREDIENTS :

Sandwich bread slices 6 to 8 nos
Salted butter   50 gms
Green chutney (Click for recipe)
2 Cucumbers peeled and cut into round slices . 
2 small tomatoes cut into thin round slices.
Sandwich masala or chat masala  (optional)

METHOD :

1. Cut the edges of the bread slices.
2. Apply butter on one side of each slice.
3. On the butter , apply the green chutney evenly on each slice.
4. Lay the cut cucumbers and tomatoes on one slice.
5. Sprinkle little chat masala or sandwich masala if you like. 
6. Cover it  with another slice (With butter and chutney applied to it).
7. Cut into shapes (Square or triangle as per your liking)
8. Vegetable chutney sandwiches are ready. 
9. Serve with ketchup or sauce or your preference.
