A simple yet healthy and Nutritious breakfast snack made from leftover bread slices . Lightly tempered with easily available at home ingredients and some chopped onions, tomatoes. This can be easily prepared when you are bored of eating plain bread and are running short of time .
INGREDIENTS :
7/8 slices of leftover bread .cut in 1 inch pcs.
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomato finely chopped
Oil, mustard seeds , hing n turmeric for the phodani/tadka
Salt to taste
Sugar 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Some coriander finely chopped.
METHOD.
Heat around a Tbsp of oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds hing and turmeric .
Add chopped onion. Saute for a min or two.
Add chopped tomato and saute for some more time.
Add the bread slices cut into one inch pcs. Salt to taste , sugar n chilli powder. Mix well.
Keep covered for a few mins stirring in between.
Garnish with coriander . Serve hot.
