Indian meals are incomplete without various accompaniments. That is what makes these meals special. This easy to make chutney serves as an excellent accompaniment and also gives that extra spicy Zing to your meal. Consumed best with Bhakari/Chapati or Batata wada.
GARLIC CHUTNEY :
Ingredients :
Grated dry coconut or desiccated coconut 2 medium size bowls .
7 to 8 big cloves of garlic or 1 bulb of garlic if cloves are small.
Red chilli powder
Salt to taste
METHOD :
1. Dry roast (stirring continuously)the coconut till it gets a golden brown colour.
2. Divide coconut mixture in two parts.
3. In your mixer/grinder, first put dry coconut then add garlic cloves, salt to taste and red chilli powder as per taste.
4. Over this add the remaining coconut. This will prevent the chutney from sticking to the sides.
5. Grind till the chutney becomes finely ground.
6. Dry garlic chutney is ready to be served as an accompaniment with various snacks.
